Updates and a new start on the series
Hi Everyone
Its been a while since I have blogged, but I am going to start to bring these back.
I have a few separate blogs on two past trips, one in June and one in July, that I will do separately, but I wanted to give you a wee update on what has been happening recently. So grab your alcohol, or non-alcohol, or whatever you drink, and settle in.

So, where do I start? I suppose we shall start with some of my Climate movement stuff, but before all that, I am scheduled to announce to folks who don't know that I am a Non-Executive director of Thera (Scotland) now. I am delighted to be working alongside my good friend Jordan Allan.
There will be a bigger Blog on attending the United Nations Talks in Germany in June on a separate post but it was a wonderful experience.
At the end of March, I helped to organise a skill-sharing and networking gathering in Pitlochry with Young Friends of the Earth Scotland. This is the youth movement of Friends of the Earth Scotland. You can find out more here, but I have recently joined the main FOE Scotland- https://foe.scot/
In terms of the work I do at YOUNGO, the Official Children and Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), I have formally resigned my mandate from the Global Coordination team and the YOUNGO membership Team. I still remain a Member of Youngo, and I have expressed my own views in our Annual Global Youth statement.
I hope to rejoin the Global Co-ordination team next year, but for now, I am prioritising my day job and my mental health and well-being.
I have also recently been appointed a member of the Official Loss and Damage Collaboration. This is a lifetime membership, and I am so pleased to be able to participate in that space. You can find out more about this here: www.lossanddamagecollaboration.org/. What I like about it is that it is voluntary, and I can spend as little or as much time on it as I would like to.

Next, I want to talk about my day Job at the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities. It's been really busy but unusual.
We have recently moved office and are now in Clockwise coworking and events space on 77 Renfrew Street on the 3rd floor.
I have been delighted to help out with Scottish Learning Disability Week 2025 and have been helping some of the team out with engagement with organisations, transport hubs, and getting building materials to light up for Scottish Learning Disability Week.
I would like my readers to pledge their support for Scottish Learning Disability Week. All the information about pledging their support is on our new ScotLDweek website here - https://scotldweek.com/resources/pledge-cards/
I will be out and about at events throughout the week, and a roundup blog will follow.

I am also back on a wonderful trip from Rome, and I will be writing a separate blog for that soon.
I hope you enjoyed my blog and have a wonderful weekend.
Cameron
